How it works
Holidays
During the holidays (December 24th, 25th, and 26th, plus New Year’s Eve), many people enjoy spending time together and sharing a meal. Do you have one or more free spots at your dining table during this time and would you like to make a difference? Or would you like to join someone for a special occasion and bring a little extra cheer?
You can register as a dining host or as a guest, and we’ll be happy to find a great match for you!

How does it work?
Organising a dinner party during the Holidays
- Create an account on our matching platform Eet Mee or Students For Dinner and complete your profile page. Then you can plan your dinner party.
- Choose the date and time, the number of guests, and indicate whether you can pick up and drop off guests.
- Click publish and your dinner party will be online! You’ll receive an email when a guest has registered.
- Is registering online too complicated? Contact us, and we’ll help you make a match.
Do you live in Utrecht or the surrounding area? Then you can also host a dinner for refugees from Utrecht’s emergency shelter through Come & Eat. Or invite Utrecht refugees with refugee status through Taal Aan Tafel. Our matchmakers will then make a match for you.
Join as a guest during the Holidays.
- Create an account on our online matching platform.
- After completing your profile, you can apply for dinners listed online.
- Once the registration deadline has passed, you’ll be notified if you’ve been invited. If so, you’ll receive the contact information and can make further arrangements.
- Before the dinner, please let us know what you won’t be eating.
- Can’t make it on the dinner date? Cancel your invitation as soon as you know. This way, someone else can join the dinner.
- Is registering online too complicated? Call us at 030-2213498 or send us a message. Our matchmakers will then contact you to arrange a match.
